Matthew B. Walker
Matthew B. Walker is an associate
with the law firm of Redman Charlip PLLC.
Matthew focuses his practice on real estate litigation, mortgage, construction,
condominium, business and appellate law.
He assists his clients in all aspects of real estate transactions,
including acquisitions, development and sales of property, litigating disputes
involving ownership and priority and negotiating, enforcing and defending
contractual provisions. He also has
experience working with the State of Michigan
to resolve outstanding taxes, tax forfeitures and sales.
Matthew helps his clients anticipate and address issues early on thereby increasing the success of dispute avoidance, resolution and litigation. He has experience representing clients in both state and federal courts and has obtained favorable results with the Michigan Court of Appeals.
Matthew received his Juris Doctor in 2005 from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he received awards for outstanding achievements in trial practice. Matthew earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2002 from Michigan State University.
Matthew is admitted to practice in Michigan and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan Real Property Law Section, Oakland County Bar Association and Michigan State University Football Players Alumni Association. In 2007, Matthew was elected as a Director of the OCBA New Lawyers Committee and was appointed as an Associate of the OCBA's 2007-2008 Inns of Court.
